Interval Training Exercises: Exercise supported by science

This site is dedicated to the benefits of interval training exercises as well as resistance training with topics covering everything from the very basics of interval and resistance training to the science behind it.

The reason I am so passionate about the benefits of interval and resistance training exercises is because I have seen what they have done for my own fitness.  The sport I enjoy the most is mountain biking (that’s me below!) and I spent several years doing general exercises and weights hoping I would get stronger and faster.  Whilst I did see some improvements, I quickly reached a ceiling and couldn’t seem to get any more improvement.

 

Interval and resistance training exercises, when done properly, blasted me through this ceiling and I quickly saw the benefits on the trail as well as with my physical appearance and weight.  It has also made my training a lot more enjoyable and less repetitive which ultimately makes want to keep pushing my training.

Interval and resistance training exercises can satisfy many goals whether you are training for a sport, enjoy going to the gym, hate the gym and want to exercise at home, want to lose weight, want a toned body, etc.  You can use interval and resistance training exercises for all of these goals, and best of all you can do it in less time and enjoy it!
